Ingredients
2 Chicken Breasts
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Cornstarch
1 cup Buttermilk
1 Egg
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
Cooking Spray (Olive or Avocado Oil)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and slice them into even-sized cutlets
- Set up a dredging station with three bowls: flour mixed with cornstarch and half the spices, buttermilk mixed with egg, and reserved flour with remaining spices
- Coat each piece of chicken in the dry mix, then the buttermilk, and finally in the second flour mixture
- Let the coated chicken rest for 5 to 10 minutes on a wire rack
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 390°F (200°C)
- Place the chicken in the basket in a single layer and spray with cooking oil
- Cook for 8 minutes, flip carefully, spray again, and cook for an additional 6 to 8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
- Allow the chicken to rest for 3 minutes before serving
