3 cups Cooked Chicken Breast (Shredded)
1.5 cups High-Quality BBQ Sauce
12 Brioche Slider Rolls
1.5 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Sliced or Grated)
1/2 Medium Red Onion (Thinly Sliced)
3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (Melted)
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
12 slices Pickle Chips (Optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish
  2. Shred cooked chicken breasts and toss with 1 cup of BBQ sauce in a large bowl
  3. Slice the entire slab of slider rolls in half horizontally without pulling them apart
  4. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bread, then add the BBQ chicken, followed by red onions and sharp cheddar cheese
  5. Cover with the top half of the rolls. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley, and brush over the buns
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golde
  7. Let rest for 2 minutes, then slice and serve

Notes

To prevent sogginess, ensure shredded chicken is not swimming in excess liquid.

Consider using different cheese options such as smoked gouda or pepper jack for variation.
