1 cup Coconut Sugar
½ cup Grass-fed Butter (Melted)

½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips (70% Cacao+)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted grass-fed butter and coconut sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition and incorporate the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and glossy
  3. Sift in the almond flour, cacao powder, and sea salt, then fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined
  4. Gently stir in the dark chocolate chips, being careful not to overmix the batter
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, until the edges look set and the center has a slight jiggle
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and place it on a wire rack. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes before lifting them out and cutting

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute the butter with unrefined coconut oil.

Let the brownies rest for a bit after cooling for improved texture.

Consider blooming the cacao powder for a richer flavor.
