Description
These Classic Chocolate Brownies deliver a rich, fudgy experience while utilizing high-quality, whole-food ingredients, providing antioxidants and steady energy levels without the sugar crashes associated with traditional desserts.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups Almond Flour
¾ cup Raw Cacao Powder
1 cup Coconut Sugar
½ cup Grass-fed Butter (Melted)
2 large Pasture-Raised Eggs
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
¼ teaspoon Sea Salt
½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips (70% Cacao+)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted grass-fed butter and coconut sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition and incorporate the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and glossy
- Sift in the almond flour, cacao powder, and sea salt, then fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined
- Gently stir in the dark chocolate chips, being careful not to overmix the batter
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, until the edges look set and the center has a slight jiggle
- Remove the pan from the oven and place it on a wire rack. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes before lifting them out and cutting
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute the butter with unrefined coconut oil.
Let the brownies rest for a bit after cooling for improved texture.
Consider blooming the cacao powder for a richer flavor.
