Ingredients
1 cup Unsalted European-style Butter (softened)
3/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
3/4 cup Granulated Cane Sugar
2 large Organic Eggs (room temperature)
2 teaspoons Pure Madagascar Vanilla Extract
2 1/4 cups All-purpose Unbleached Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
2 cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips or Chopped Dark Chocolate Bars (at least 60% cacao)
Instructions
- Cream the softened butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until pale and fluffy
- Add the organic eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Then add the Madagascar vanilla extract
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt in a separate bowl
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined
- Fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- Chill the dough for at least thirty minutes
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the cookies for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golde
Notes
For a chewier cookie, use more brown sugar than white sugar.
Ensure to chill the dough to prevent cookies from spreading too thin.
