Description
Creamy homemade peach ice cream delivers summer in every scoop, blending ripe peaches with smooth cream for an irresistibly cool dessert.
Ingredients
3 cups fresh ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 cup whole milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, combine peaches and half the sugar. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until peaches soften and juices thicken slightly. Remove from heat and cool.
2. In a large bowl, whisk the remaining sugar with milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, salt, and lemon juice until the sugar dissolves completely.
3. Stir the cooled peach mixture into the cream base. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to your machine’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve texture.
5. Transfer to a freezer-safe container. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm. Scoop and enjoy!
Notes
Always use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor.
Let ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping for a perfect texture.
