Description

Garlic Butter Scallops are a fast, gourmet dish that combines buttery, garlic flavors with perfectly seared scallops, delivering a luxurious dining experience in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs Sea Scallops
3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
4 large Garlic Cloves
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley
Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the scallops from the refrigerator and pat them very dry using paper towels
  2. Lightly sprinkle both sides of the scallops with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  3. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil
  4. Carefully place the scallops in the hot pan in a single layer and let them sear for 2 to 3 minutes until golden-brow
  5. Use tongs to flip each scallop and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes
  6. Immediately add the butter and minced garlic to the pan, and baste the scallops with the melted garlic butter
  7. Turn off the heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley
  8. Transfer the scallops to a warm plate and pour the remaining garlic butter sauce over them

Notes

Make sure the scallops are dry for a proper sear.

Keep an eye on the garlic to prevent it from burning.
