Description

Ingredients

1 pound Sea Scallops
3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
4 cloves Fresh Garlic
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
Sea Salt to Taste
Black Pepper to Taste
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley


Instructions

  1. Remove the scallops from the refrigerator about 15 minutes before cooking, rinse under cold water, and pat dry
  2. Season both sides of the scallops with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  3. Heat a large skillet over high heat and add the olive oil until shimmering
  4. Place the scallops in the pan without touching each other and let them sear for 2 minutes
  5. Flip the scallops once golden brown and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter, and once melted, add minced garlic. Stir for 30-45 seconds until fragrant
  7. Baste the scallops with the garlic butter, add lemon juice and parsley, and remove from heat

Notes

Use high-quality, dry-packed scallops for best results.

Do not overcrowd the pan for a proper sear.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
