Description

Ground Beef Hot Honey Bowl is a savory, spicy, and sweet meal that comes together in under 30 minutes. It’s a perfect balance of protein, carbs, and flavor-packed toppings for a quick, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

1 cup white rice, uncooked

1/4 cup hot honey

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional toppings: sliced avocado, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, lime wedges, sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.

3. Drain excess grease.

4. Reduce heat to low. Add soy sauce and hot honey. Stir and simmer 2-3 minutes.

5. Assemble bowls: rice first, top with beef, then add optional toppings. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook beef; it should remain tender.

Use regular or jasmine rice; avoid instant rice.

Add honey at low heat to prevent burning.

Drain fat for a cleaner dish.

Flexible swaps: ground turkey, chicken, or lentils; quinoa or cauliflower rice; sriracha + honey if hot honey isn’t available; tamari for gluten-free.
