Ingredients
1 loaf Angel Food Cake
1 package Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
1.5 cups Cold Whole Milk
1 cup Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt
1 can Cherry Pie Filling
1 tub Whipped Topping (Cool Whip), thawed
1/4 cup Slivered Almonds
Instructions
- Cut the angel food cake into 1-inch cubes and place half in a 9×13 inch glass baking dish
- Spread two-thirds of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes
- In a bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix and cold milk for about two minutes until thick. Fold in the sour cream
- Pour the pudding mixture over the cherries and cake cubes. Add the remaining cake cubes on top
- Spread the whipped topping over the dessert and dot with remaining cherry pie filling. Sprinkle slivered almonds on top
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 to 6 hours before serving
