Description
These Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are a quick, cheesy twist on your favorite comfort food. Perfectly toasted bread filled with melty cheese, pizza sauce, and pepperoni, ready in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
8 slices of sandwich bread
4 tbsp softened butter
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1/4 cup pizza sauce
16–20 slices pepperoni
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Optional: sliced olives, bell peppers, mushrooms
Instructions
1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice
2. Flip and spread pizza sauce on the unbuttered side of 4 slices
3. Top with mozzarella, pepperoni, and any extra toppings
4. Place remaining bread slices on top, buttered side out
5. Heat skillet over medium heat
6. Cook sandwiches 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted
7. Serve hot with extra sauce for dipping
Notes
Use fresh mozzarella for best melt
Add a lid briefly if cheese isn’t melting fast enough
Substitute veggies or use vegan cheese for a plant-based version
