  4. Mix in tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, yellow mustard, and maple syrup with half a cup of water or bone broth
  5. Let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until the sauce thickens
  6. Toast whole-grain or gluten-free buns, then spoon the Sloppy Joes mixture onto the bottom bun and serve
