Ingredients
4 lbs Pork Baby Back Ribs
2 tablespoons Smoked Paprika
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
Kosher Salt & Black Pepper to Taste
1.5 cups Your Favorite BBQ Sauce
2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions
- Remove the silver skin membrane from the back of the ribs
- In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Rub this mixture generously over both sides of the pork racks
- Place the ribs into the slow cooker, curling them around or cutting them in half if necessary
- Drizzle the apple cider vinegar over the meat. Set the slow cooker to Low for 7 to 8 hours or High for 3.5 to 4 hours
- Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush your BBQ sauce over the top
- Broil under your oven broiler for 3 to 5 minutes until bubbling and slightly charred
- Let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the bones
Notes
Make sure to remove the membrane for tender ribs.
Do not add water, as the ribs will release enough liquid while cooking.
Broiling is essential for achieving that perfect caramelized finish.
