Description

These Spiced Chickpeas capture the vibrant energy of global flavors with every crunchy, savory bite. Perfect as a snack or a meal topper.


Ingredients

15 oz Canned Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
1 Teaspoon Ground Cumi
1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Turmeric
Sea Salt to Taste
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (Optional)


Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water
  2. Dry the chickpeas thoroughly using a towel
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and dry roast the chickpeas for 15 minutes
  4. Remove from oven, drizzle oil and sprinkle spices over chickpeas, then toss to coat
  5. Return to the oven and roast for another 15 to 20 minutes, shaking halfway
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt while hot and allow to cool for 10 minutes

Notes

Ensure chickpeas are completely dry for maximum crunch.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
