Description

Ingredients

2 cups Fresh Strawberries
2 cups Heavy Cream
1 cup Whole Milk
3/4 cup Organic Cane Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 pinch Sea Salt


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Place your sliced strawberries in a medium bowl and toss them with two tablespoons of the sugar and the lemon juice. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes
  2. Mash the Berries: Use a fork or a potato masher to crush the strawberries into a chunky puree
  3. Mix the Base: In a separate large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, the remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt until the sugar has completely dissolved
  4. Combine: Gently fold the strawberry puree and all its accumulated juices into the cream mixture
  5. Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours
  6. Churn: Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions
  7. Ripen: Transfer the churned mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours

Notes

For a dairy-free version, replace dairy with full-fat coconut milk.

For a refined sugar-free version, use raw honey or maple syrup.
