Description

Decadent and fudgy Valentine brownies, cut into heart shapes and decorated with frosting or sprinkles. Perfect for Valentine’s Day gifting or indulging.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Melt butter and chocolate together in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugars until light and creamy.
  • Add vanilla extract and salt, then pour in the melted chocolate mixture.
  • Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, folding gently to maintain an airy texture.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Pour batter into the pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
