Description

elebrate love with this delightful heart-shaped pizza, featuring a crispy crust, savory tomato sauce, melted mozzarella, and your favorite toppings. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a fun family meal

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle, about 12 inches in diameter.
  • To shape the dough into a heart, use a sharp knife or kitchen scissors to cut a small V-shape into the top center of the circle. Gently pull and shape the dough to form a heart.
  • Transfer the heart-shaped dough onto a piece of parchment paper for easy handling.
  • Brush the dough lightly with olive oil, then spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Arrange the pepperoni slices, bell peppers, and black olives on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle dried oregano over the toppings.
  • Carefully slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  • Slice and serve warm

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your preference. Other great options include mushrooms, onions, sausage, or spinach.
  • For a crispier crust, consider pre-baking the dough for 5 minutes before adding the toppings.
  • If you don’t have a pizza stone, a regular baking sheet will work fine.
