- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spread the crushed tortilla chips evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the seasoned ground beef over the tortilla chips.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Top the casserole with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and black olives.
- Serve with sour cream on the side, if desired.

- For a spicier version, use hot taco seasoning and add diced jalapeños.
